Großartiges Debütalbum von Myles Sanko, einem aus Ghana stammenden und in London lebenden Sänger. Er hat eine eindrucksvolle Soul-Stimme und in seinen Kompositionen verarbeitet er seine musikalischen Einflüsse aus den 60er und 70er Jahren, die er gekonnt in die Gegenwart transportiert. Wow, so gut kann aktueller Soul sein! „Forever Dreaming“ ist die Platte der Woche bei Soul Unlimited.
Ausserdem gibt es eine Reihe von wieder entdeckten Soul und Funk Klassikern zu hören:
Auf Tramp Records ist eine weitere Compilation in der Story Of Reihe erschienen. Dieses Mal ist der Focus auf Don Gardner gerichtet. Sehr schön dass diese Musik wieder herausgebracht wird. Exzellente Arbeit in diesem Bereich leistet auch das Label Numero. In der hervorragenden Eccentric Soul Reihe wird dieses Mal das Way Out Label vorgestellt. Wie immer ist das Album mit ausführlichen Liner-Notes versehen. Beim Label Secret Stash kann man ebenfalls mit einem Highlight aufwarten. Bisher unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen von Vic Pitts & The Cheaters, die 1969 entstanden sind, aber nie veröffentlicht wurden. Das Warten hat sich gelohnt, eine sehr gutes Album.
