John Morales, der Pionier des Re-Edits & Remixes.
Als John Morales 1975 seine DJ Karriere begann, gab es noch keine Maxi-Singles und es hat ihn schnell gestört, dass die Songs auf einer Single nur 3-4 Minuten lang waren. Mit Hilfe von mehreren Bandmaschinen, Schere und Klebeband begann er sich seine eigenen „Extended Mixes“ zu schaffen. Die Stücke wurden zerschnitten und neu zusammen gesetzt, Passagen verlängert und eventuell auch neue Passagen hinzugefügt. Später mit dem Aufkommen der 12″-Maxi-Single wurden solche extended Mixe immer gefragter und so widmete sich John Morales vollständig der Produzenten-Tätigkeit: In Zusammenarbeit mit Sergio Munzibai entstanden unzählige, inzwischen legendäre M+M Mixe.
