Eine facettenreiche Sendung: Brasilianische Klänge zu Beginn, mal mit einem Hauch 60er Beat versehen, mal im Bossa Nova Sound, mal soulful und funky, sowie auch mal psychedelisch. Ein Highlight ist das neue Album von Seu Jorge und Almaz. Ihre Cover-Version des Roy Ayers Klassikers „Everbody Loves The Sunshine“ ist einfach wunderbar. Auf der bereits Ende Februar veröffentlichten Compilation „Brazilian Gutar Fuzz Bananas“ wird dann die psychedelische Seite in der brasilianischen Musik beleuchtet. Was dabei alles ausgegraben wurde ist hoch interessant. Ein paar Beispiele gibt es in der Sendung zu hören.
Das neue Album „Dog With A Rope“ von Will Holland’s Band-Projekt „Flowering Inferno“ ist ein weiteres Highlight, bei dem ich mir sicher bin, dass es in der Soul Unlimited Jahres-Bestenliste wieder zu finden sein wird. Absolut genial wie diese Band Latin-Rhythmen mit Dub-Reggae verschmilzt. Eine Platte die beim Hören Spaß macht und Lust zum Tanzen weckt.
Zum Abschluss gibt es noch ein kleines Mix-Set mit Latin-Grooves und etwas Soul, inklusive der tollen neuen 7″-Single von Myron & E zusammen mit den Soul Investigators aus Finnland.
