Viel Musik aus Afrika in dieser Sendung, vor allem vom Frankfurter Label „Analog Afrika“, das kürzlich für die Compilation „Angola Soundtrack“ den deutschen Schallplattenpreis erhalten hat. Die neusten Veröffentlichungen kommen von der ghanaischen Funk-Legende „Rob“, dessen erstes Album „Funky Rob Way“ 1977 aufgenommen wurde. Ein absolut begeisterndes Album! Zusammen mit dem ersten Album des „Orchestre Poly-Rhytmo“ aus dem Jahr 1973, wurde es in der neuen „Limited Dance Series“ bei Analog Africa veröffentlicht.
Die aktuelle Funk-Szene hat ebenfalls einiges zu bieten: Das neue Album „So Clear“ von der spanischen Band „Sweet Vandals“ gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut, ebenso wie das neue Werk ihrer Kollegen aus Holland und UK. „Laura Vane & The Vipertones“, die mit „Sugar Fix“ ebenfalls gut im Rennen sind.
