Ein dicker Stapel mit neuen Platten: „Legend In My Own Mind“, die neue 12″ von den Stepkids steigert nochmals die gespannte Vorfreude auf das Debüt-Album. Neues gibt es auch von Nicola Conte. Sein Album „Love & Revoltution“ erfüllt die hohen Erwartungen und gefällt mir sehr gut.
Mit Spannung habe ich das Album von Bugge Wesseltoft und Hendrick Schwarz erwartet. Das „Duo“ liefert eine perfekte Fusion von Schwarz’s hynotischen House-Grooves und Bugge Wesseltofts Jazz-Piano. Großartige Musik!
Hoch gelobt wurde auch „Ritual Union“, das dritte Album des schwedischen Projekts Little Dragon. Sie liefern groovende Elektronik-Sounds mit Pop-Appeal. Defintiv keine schlechte Sache, doch bei mir hat sich die überschwängliche Begeisterung noch nicht eingestellt.
Colonel Red war schon bei vielen der hier vorgestellten Platten als Gast-Sänger zu hören. Nun kommt ein neues Album von ihm: „Keep Walking“ ist sein zweites Solo-Werk. Seine Songs vereinen Soul, Jazz und elektronische Sounds auf stimmige Weise und bei einem Song ist zudem Ursula Rucker als Gast-Vokalistin dabei. Ein hörenswertes Album, das mir sehr gut gefällt.
Zum Schluss noch ein kleines Highlight vom französischen Produzenten Bruno Horvart aka Patchworks. Seine „Tribute To Gil Scott-Heron“ ist ganz große Klasse!
