Auf das Debütalbum von Michael Kiwanuka war ich schon lange gespannt. Nun ist es da und „Home Again“ hat meine hohen Erwarten absolut erfüllt. Ein Album voller wunderbarer Folk-Soul Juwelen. Ganz große Klasse!
Über sieben Jahre musste man auf ein neues Micatone Album warten. Es hat sich gelohnt und „Wish I Was Here“ überrascht mit neuen Klängen im Micatone-Sound: Surf-Gitarren, Blues und Soul-Klänge wurden perfekt in den Bandsound integriert. Das Album hat mir auf anhieb bestens gefallen und ich freue mich schon auf das Micatone-Konzert am 18. Mai 2012 im Sudhaus Tübingen.
Auf Tramp Records wird das legendäre Album von Carl Sherlock Holmes Investigation als CD wiederveröffentlicht. Ein perfektes Album, das alles beinhalted was Funk- und Soul Fans lieben.
Im zweiten Teil der Sendung werden die Sounds elektronischer. Den Höhepunkt und Abschluß bildet die neue DJ-Kicks Mix-CD, die dieses Mal von Photek zusammengestllt und gemixt wurde. Ein ersklassiger Mix.
